1. Why is the Reel Rewards program ending?
We’re preparing for a loyalty revolution and turning up the fun dial on a brand-new loyalty program called Santikos Grand & AmStar Movie Lovers. So, get ready to say goodbye to the same-old, same-old as we inject a healthy dose of excitement into our rewards.
2. Will I lose my Reel Rewards points?
No! Members will keep ALL of their points! When we launch the new program in March 2024, all of your points will seamlessly transition into the Movie Lovers program. You will continue to earn points until then, ensuring you don’t lose a single point of your hard-earned rewards.
3. What happens to my Reel Rewards $10 reward dollars I’m saving in my account?
Our $10 reward dollars have a 60-day expiration from the date they were earned. You have plenty of time to use them but be sure to visit your favorite Santikos Grand & AmStar theater before they expire! The Movie Lovers program will not have the $10 reward feature, but keep reading to see all the cool stuff it WILL have! NOTE: As of Dec. 28, no new $10 rewards will be issued.
4. What happens to my Reel Rewards $5 birthday reward?
Birthday rewards are no longer being issued as of Dec. 28.
5. Will I still get my free popcorn and drink upgrades?
Yes! Members can get free upgrades through February 29, 2024. The new Movie Lovers program will not have the free upgrade option, BUT there’s lots of other cool stuff!
6. I just joined/renewed my Reel Rewards membership; can I still get my free popcorn and drink?
Yes! You absolutely can still get your free popcorn and drink but remember that those have a 30-day expiration from the date you joined or renewed.
7. Can members renew their Reel Rewards membership?
No. Since this program is ending, we will not be able to add new members or renew current members starting December 28, 2023. Current members will be automatically enrolled in the *AWESOME* Movie Lovers program on March 11, 2024, with the same profile information as your current account. Sit back and relax – we’ve got this
8. Is my Reel Rewards membership fee refundable?
No, we’re not able to refund the fee. All of our current rewards will expire by or before February 29, 2023, which means you still have plenty of time to get your free popcorn AND free drink AND get free upgrades AND continue to earn points!
9. Can I still earn points through third-party sites like Fandango, Atom, etc.?
No. Purchases made on third-party websites (e.g. Fandango, Movietickets.com, Atom Tickets, etc.) are no longer eligible for accrual of Reel Rewards points. Please make sure to purchase on our website, mobile app or in-theater to earn points for your movie and concession purchases.

6. Will my Movie Lovers points expire?
Yes, all points expire 12 months after they are earned. Points are redeemed on a first-in, first-out basis, so your oldest points will always be redeemed first.
7. Is there a maximum number of points I can earn per day?
You can earn up to 5,000 points in the Movie Fan tier, 5,500 in the Movie Buff tier, and 6,000 points in the Movie Guru. Hit these marks and it means you really LOVE movies!
8. How do I join Movie Lovers?
Joining Movie Lovers is absolutely FREE, and you will be able to join via our website. Joining this program cannot be done in-theater.
9. Who can join Movie Lovers?
Movie Lovers is open to anyone over the age of 13, except Santikos Entertainment team members and their immediate family members. If you are between the ages of 13 and 18, you may join Movie Lovers under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to our Terms & Conditions.
10. Will I receive a physical membership card for the program?
Nope! All you have to do is provide your phone number at the time of purchase to earn points.
11. Will my account ever be deactivated, terminated, or suspended?
If you have not made a qualifying purchase in over 24 months, we may purge your data from our system without notice and deactivate your account. If your account has been deactivated, please register a new account. We may suspend or terminate your membership in the Movie Lovers program at any time, for any reason, without liability to Santikos Grand & AmStar.
12. What does a “NO PASS” movie mean?
Occasionally, movie studios do not allow us to accept movie passes. Unfortunately, we cannot accept passes, including tickets you earned with Movie Lovers points, for movies marked as “NO PASS”.
13. Can I share my Movie Lovers membership with family or friends?
Unfortunately, memberships are non-transferable, but they’re free for everyone to join! Members must be at least 13 years of age to join.
14. Is the Movie Lovers Loyalty Program available at all your theaters?
Yes, the program is available at all our Grand and AmStar theaters. Enjoy the perks no matter where you catch a film!
