At the Grand Theatres and Amstar Cinemas, we have implemented significant measures to help ensure our guests and employees feel comfortable and safe at our theatres. We will be adhering to all CDC, state and local government guidelines.
As a measure of safety cash is not accepted at the concession stand. Please exchange your cash at Guest Services for a gift card if you do not have a credit/debit card for payment.
Enhanced Cleaning Measures:
The Grand Theater and Amstar Cinemas are committed to caring for the health and well-being of our employees and guests. We continue to conduct elevated cleaning and sanitizing protocols consistent with CDC guidelines to help to reduce the spread of COVID-19. Our staff has gone through additional safety training and continues to clean all high touch surface areas at least every 30 minutes and every theater seat is cleaned after each use with products that are 99% effective in killing bacteria and viruses.dance with respect to safety protocols and occupancy. These measures include:
Masks must be worn in all common areas including the lobby, concession stand area, corridors, and in the restrooms. Once seated in the auditorium, masks may be removed to enjoy food and beverages since socially distanced seating will be enforced by our ticketing system and by auditorium capacity limits. Employees are also required to wear facial coverings and gloves during their shifts and continue to frequently wash their hands.
Our theater staff and management must complete a health pre-check, including safety precautions such as taking their temperature, to ensure they are ready and able to work prior to every shift. We respectfully request guests follow social distancing and safety protocols recommended by public health officials. We have floors marked with stickers to help guide social distancing and protective barriers are in place in areas of close proximity to help with safety.
In addition, we will be installing higher filtration MERV filters in our HVAC systems.
Socially Distanced Seating:
In our reserved seating locations, our ticket sales system will allow groups of guests who order at the same time to sit together. To ensure proper social distancing, the system will force a two-seat gap on either side of that group.
In our general admission locations, seating occupancy will be limited per government guidelines (typically 50% depending upon the state) which will provide for family groups to sit together and other groups to sufficiently distance from them in the auditorium. We will ask groups to separate by three seats and every other row will be blocked off from use.
Enjoy A Touchless Theatre Experience With No Online Ticketing Fees:
Using the Grand & Amstar App, customers can select a theatre, purchase tickets in advance, and pay. Guests can also pre-order concessions for pickup at a designated area of the concession stand creating a touchless theatre experience. To Make coming back to the theatre even easier we are waiving all online ticketing fees until September 30, 2020. Reel Rewards® Members:
We recognize that the current environment has limited the ability of our loyalty members to redeem their Reel Rewards Dollars® and Birthday Bonuses. Because of this, we will be extending the expiration date on these items to October 31, 2020. All accounts will have an additional 6 months added to their membership.
